KcalDaily

Calorie diary · iPhone, Apple Watch

A calorie diary for people whose body already writes data to Apple Health: see last night’s sleep and HRV next to today’s food, your glucose after a meal, and log water from your Apple Watch. Information, not a diagnosis; the diary stays on your iPhone.

What it does

Your food, next to what your body already measures.

  1. Sleep and HRV beside the diary

Last night’s sleep stages from Apple Health, with steps, active energy and workouts, on the same screen as today’s food.

  2. A carb suggestion after a short night

After less than six hours of sleep, or on a low-HRV day, KcalDaily suggests adjusting your carbs. You apply it or undo it; nothing changes on its own.

  3. Glucose after a meal

If you wear a CGM, see your readings from 15 minutes before a meal to two hours after it, right in the diary. Information, not a diagnosis.

  4. Your own foods, meals and recipes

Create your own foods, save meals to log again in one step, and build recipes.

  5. A calorie target you can trace

Your daily target comes from the Mifflin-St Jeor equation and your activity level.

  6. Water from your wrist

Add 250 ml of water from Apple Watch or a Home Screen widget, keep today’s calories in a Live Activity, see a weekly summary, and share your data as CSV.

Privacy

Food, water, weight and the Health readings KcalDaily shows are stored on your iPhone. There is no sync.

You sign in with Apple or Google; that sign-in, handled by Firebase, is used only for your account. KcalDaily has no tracking and no ad SDKs. You can export your data and delete your account in the app.

KcalDaily is not a medical device and does not provide medical advice, diagnosis or treatment. Glucose, HRV and sleep figures are information, not a diagnosis.
